Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities GmbH (VBCF)

We are an international non profit organization that offers state-of-the-art research infrastructure and services for customers from both the academic and the industrial sector. Our main goal is to provide excellent research and support innovation. We operate 11 so-called core facilities: Advanced Microscopy, Bioinformatics, ElectronMicroscopy, Histopathology, Metabolomics, Next Generation sequencing, Magnetic resonance imaging, preclinical Phenotyping, protein technologies and theVienna Drosophila Resource Center, as well as plant phenotyping. The VBCF is lead beneficiary in this project.

Biomedical Research Center, SAV

The Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (BMC) is currently the largest Slovak scientific institution in basic and applied research in the biomedical sciences. BMC has specialized laboratories where instruments and expert staff carry out biomedical research work using state-of-the-art technological and methodological approaches. These laboratories serve as cooperation platforms within BMC as well as with external bodies and also serve as scientific service infrastructure. BMC has over 11,000 square meters of state-of-the-art equipment and laboratory facilities ( such as cell culture laboratories, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, physiology, BSL 2./3.) and specialized laboratories for genomics and metabolomics, proteomics, bioimaging, cytoanalytics and a central animal house.
